Tripura NEET Counselling 2024 (Started): Check Dates, Process

Tripura NEET 2024 Provisional Merit List has been released through online mode. Counselling Registration is started through online mode. The state counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Health & Family Welfare Government of Tripura. The counselling is conducted for offering MBBS and BDS Bachelor degree courses in Tripura state. The score card of NEET UG will be accepted by the various government and private medical and dental institutions of the state. Tripura NEET 2024 counselling will be conducted for providing the seats in MBBS and BDS courses of various Government/Private institution across the Tripura state. Authority conducts the counselling in various rounds as per the availability of seats after each round of counselling to provide admission in medical course. Merit list will be released in fourth week of August 2024.

Counselling process will be conducted for successfully qualified candidates only. Every qualified candidate will have to participate in the counselling round, as seats will be available only through these steps.

Counselling registration for second round will be started from September 2024. Candidates will have to register themselves through online mode from the website of counselling conducting authority. Updated merit list will be released in August 2024.

The seats will be available on the basis of total marks scored by candidates in NEET 2024 entrance exam and rank obtained in state merit list. The preference will be provided to the top rank holder and rest will get seats on the basis of availability of seats. Authority will have their own terms and condition in tie situation.

Selection & Admission Procedure

• First of all, candidates will have to fill the application form. In application form, candidates have to fill the personal and educational details.
• After accepting the application forms from the candidates, the authority have invited the candidates for the counselling as per their ranks.
• In the first round of counselling, candidates have to present in person in the notified date and time along with the required documents.
• Candidates have to fill the choices for colleges and pay the counselling fee. The document verification process will also take place at that time.
• On the basis of choices filled by the candidates and their ranks obtained in the NEET exam, they will be allotted with the seats.
• Candidates can report to the assigned college with the provisional admission letter.
• Candidates are advised to get admission before the deadline given by the authority for the admission.

Reservation Criteria

The reservation policy as per the Government of Tripura for various categories is different. Candidates can check below the reservation policy for various categories in the state medical colleges of Tripura which are as follows:

• General Category – 50%
• OBC – 27%
• SC – 15%
• ST – 7%
