IISc Bengaluru is the organising institute of GATE 2024. While registering for GATE, it is noticed that candidates usually commit some mistakes or feed insufficient details in the form. Although the board allows candidates to correct their details or particulars yet candidates must be very sure of their filled details in the form to avoid rejection. In this article, we are providing complete information about GATE Application Correction Facility 2024 & its scrutiny details.
GATE 2024 Application Correction – Till 10th Dec
GATE 2024 Applications marked defective must be attended immediately by candidates through login till 11th December 2023. Click here to login.
GATE 2024 Application Correction Last date is till 24th November 2023 through login. Click here for correction.
Candidates are requested to attend the defects marked on GATE 2024 application form immediately after the completion of application process. Correction has been made available after the release of application forms. Corrections can be done in Name, DOB, Details of Parents/ Guardian, Correspondence address & Qualifying degree Details.
Edit facility is available in details such as contact address, college name, or degree nomenclature free of cost. For name & D.O.B, candidates have to submit Rs. 500/- as correction fee. Correction in these particulars will be available on 18th November 2023. The rectification option is enabled till 24th November 2023.
Correction/ edit in GATE 2024 Application Form details is made available through login. The correction can be done in some fields of personal, academic and address details details.
GATE 2024 Exam Paper Change Request can be done through GOAPS. Paper change is effective only after successful payment of the fee.
GATE 2024 Application Details
GATE 2024 Registration has been started by 30th August 2023. Last date to submit the application form without late fee is 29th September 2023. And with the late fee it is till 13th October 2023. The authority has announced the correction dates through online mode.
Candidates can correct their mistakes in the form by login to their account. The correction is allowed only to few fields.
Candidates have to do the correction within the given time period. The authority may send the mail to the candidate’s registered email Id regarding status of the application and defects in the application form.
Candidates have to immediately rectify the identified defects within a stipulated time period. Failing to rectify the defects within a stipulated time period will lead to the rejection of the application form.
Correction in Examination City
Candidates can make correction/ modification in the examination city by paying additional fee. Corrections can be done through GOAPS login.
Candidates have to enter their Enrollment ID/Email Address & password and click on the submit button. Candidates also have to pay the correction fee. After correction, must take printout of the modified application for further use.
Correction in Other Details
Candidates can make changes in Name, DOB, College name and location, Roll No., Registration No. etc. till 11th November 2023. After login, candidates have to click on the “Change Personal Data” option. Now, make the necessary changes in the application details.
After submitting the modified details, candidates are redirected to the payment page to pay any correction fee (if required). Candidates must check following table to check fee charges for particular change:

Requests for GATE 2024 application correction can be entertained through online mode only. Correction in the application form is limited to some particulars only. Hence, candidates are strictly advised to fill all the changes carefully in the application form.
After submission of application form, candidates must check the application status.
How to Edit GATE Application 2024
The corrections can be made through login. Candidates must check the instructions regarding correction from below:
- Visit the online website link (link is given above).
- The portal is opened.
- Enter your login details like Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password.
- Solve the arithmetic expression and click on “Submit” button.
- Now, edit your application and make required changes.
- Don’t forget to take printout of the application for further use.
GATE 2024 Application Scrutiny & Rectification
The application form is scrutinized for the accuracy of the data, which include uploaded supporting documents, clarity of the photograph and signature. After scrutiny, defects in the application is marked and intimated to the candidate for rectification.
The status of the application and defects identified in the application are intimated to the candidates by an e-mail and/or SMS. The status of your application can be checked anytime by logging into GOAPS.
